They come in 3 sizes Standard, Miniature, and Toy and 4 varieties -solid, Parti, Brindle, and Phantom. Depending on the variety, Poodles typically have thick curly fur and are known for being a low-shedding hypoallergenic breed. With an average lifespan of 10-18 years, Poodles make great family pets and are highly trainable, exhibiting a natural ease in learning commands and tricks.
Poodles have a reputation as being hypoallergenic due to the fact that they have a nonshedding coat, but this doesn't necessarily make them completely allergy free. Poodles can still present allergy issues for some people, just like any other breed. However, many people find that their poodle does not cause any allergic reactions even though they may have had other breeds that did.
